Ruby Fuchsite Kyanite Sphere

This is a very attractive mineral association where perfectly formed ruby grains of a vivid red color appear in a dark green matrix of fuchsite, along with blue kyanite grains or bladed aggregates. This very interesting and original material is found in highly metamorphosed rocks with a high aluminum content and the presence of chromium. This material is very popular among collectors and is also widely used in the decorative jewelry industry. The most attractive collector's specimens come from localities in India (the regions of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu), which is where our material is from. Other localities include Madagascar, Russia, and Brazil.
