Carnelian
Carnelians usually come in yellow, reddish or red-brown shades, which are a product of their hematite admixtures. The stone has been known for ages and people considered it a precious stone already in ancient times. This piece is from Brazil.
Carnelian uniqueness: Brazilian carnelians are noted for their yellow design partially complemented by red colour. These carnelians do not boast with natural orange shades like their Botswana relatives. However, you can sometimes get carnelians treated by heat, which can boost their colour to red or brown-red tones.
Special conditions/ treatment: There is no need for special handling with carnelian.
About the product: Carnelian has been smoothed out into a round flat shape. We sell smooth stones in 1 kg package; however some of them are available also in 0,5 and 0,25 kg variant.
