Shattuckite is a copper silicate, which got its unusual name after Shattuck Mine in Arizona, where it was discovered in 1915. The stone’s deposits are in the USA, Argentina, Namibia or Congo. However, this piece is from Namibia.

Shattuckite uniqueness: This shattuckite has high content of natural copper, therefore the stones are darker with brown-reddish shades in places.

Special conditions/ treatment: As shattuckite often occurs with other minerals (in paragenesis), we do not recommend cleaning it with chemical detergents.

About the product: The product is packed in firm plastic bags.
