Rock crystal is one of the most expensive and most popular gemstones, which has been known to people since ancient times. If we look at its chemical structure, it is the purest, limpid variety of crystalline quartz. Rock crystal is deposited in many localities all over the world, the most known is in Minas Geraís in Brazil. For thousands of years it has been used to make jewellery, tools and cult objects.

Points are big long crystals formed by erosion and desintegration of crystal aggregates (aka druses). Rock crystal points have been cut and smoothed out into a shape of obelisk. Originally, an obelisk is an upright 4-sided monolithic pillar that gradually tapers as it rises and terminates in a pyramid. Our "obelisks" may have more than four sides. Their base has been cut to make them stand.

Use: Crystal points can be charming interior decorations as well as valuable pieces of your mineralogical collection.
