Amethyst Bracelet Kids
Amethyst is a purple quartz gemstone. Since antiquity, it has been valued for its charming colour and has been a popular material for making various ornaments and jewellery. Its characteristic colour of varying intensity is caused by ionizing radiation acting on a small admixture of iron compounds. It occurs in basalts and forms crystal fillings of cavities that can reach considerable size. It is found worldwide in abundance; one of the most important global deposits remains the state of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil.
