Agate Half MIX B
Rough agates, which have been cut in halves and polished from the front side. Thanks to this treatment, the unique patterns and regular banded lines typical of agates can stand out. Some varieties form tiny little cavities with small crystals of quartz. Our agates are from Brazilian mines in Rio Grande do Sul.
The intensity of agate patterns is often boosted by dyeing. Agates are porous and have good ability to absorb liquids. During the dyeing process, the liquid soaks into individual layers of agate according to the level of their porosity. These agates have been dyed to obtain various colours, such as blue, teal, purple or pink; some of them stayed natural.
Use: Agates can be a charming interior decoration or an original paperweight.
About the product: The mix contains a variety of dyed and natural agate halves. We offer this product only in a 25 kg package for an advantageous price. The weight of one piece ranges between approx. 0.1 and 0.5 kg. The package contains agate halves in pairs.
