Agate Pink Banded Faceted
Agate is a charming variety of chalcedony (general name for cryptocrystalline form of quartz). This stone is captivating for its dark banded lines. This piece is from Brazil.
Agate uniqueness: The pink patterns are caused by a pink dye, which absorbed into individual agate layers. Interestingly, in the middle ages, people dyed agates with sugar or honey solutions. Purple Agates were used in gems engraving and intaglios – carved reliefs.
Special conditions/ treatment: Do not expose dyed agate to direct sun and do not soak it in solutions. It may cause its colour to fade.
About the product: Facets are little flat polished surfaces cut on a gemstone. These bracelets are made from round faceted beads with a unique sparkle, which makes them perfect elegant accessories. The bracelets are sold either individually or in a package with 2, 3 or 5 pieces; but usually we offer also a 50 pcs package for an advantageous price. Our bracelets with gemstones on a double rubber band are approximately 19 cm long; they are flexible and therefore adaptable to all sizes.
