Agates have been used for thousands of years, and they are still highly popular. They are varieties of chalcedony, which is a generic name for fibrous cryptocrystalline quartz. Most deposits are in Brazil. As its name suggests, this agate is typical for its pink shades.

Agate uniqueness: Brazilian agates are porous and absorb dye solutions. The pink colour is a result of cool-dye solutions – the stones are immersed in the solutions for weeks to gain their unique, banded lines on the surface.

Special conditions/ treatment: As the pink agates are cool-dyed, they are not stable for a long time. That is why you do not want to expose these agates to the direct sunlight or soak it in solutions. They may lose their colour. In the interior, the pink agate is stable for years.

About the product: The product is packed in firm plastic bags.
