Chytha
Chytha is a variety of serpentinite with distinctive black-green patterns. Generally, serpentinites are transformed rocks. They are formed primarily by minerals from serpentine group and chrysotile with a smaller portion of olivine, talc, magnesite and magnetite.
Chytha uniqueness: Chytha catches one’s eye with its dark green spots alternating on the light green foundation. In Africa, people call it the leopard’s stone.
Special conditions/ treatment: Serpentinite is a soft stone, please be careful when handling with sharp objects. Also, do not clean the stone with chemical detergents.
