Yooperlite Sphere Box

Yooperlite is a rock (syenite) rich in the mineral sodalite. Syenite is a dark igneous rock that, unlike granite, contains no quartz, and it forms through the slow cooling and solidification of molten magma deep beneath the Earth's surface. Yooperlite was only recently discovered, in 2017, on the shores of Lake Michigan, and it has since captured remarkable attention among collectors worldwide. It belongs to the fluorescent minerals – under UV light, thanks to its sodalite content, it glows brightly in yellow or orange. It occurs in only one place on Earth, on Michigan's Upper Peninsula in the USA, making it a globally sought-after unique find.

About the product: A set of premium-quality polished yooperlite spheres. The size of the individual spheres ranges from 45 to 60 mm, with 6 pieces included in the set. The minerals are arranged on paper padding inside a cardboard box with a lid. Our sets are designed to present minerals as a complete, coherent collection.
