Agates, stones typical of their emblematic banded lines, have been known for thousands of years. Initially, they were used as instruments and later in jewellery and crafts. Their texture is usually highlighted by dyeing, and they are still very popular with collectors and jewellers. This piece is from Madagascar.
Agate uniqueness: Madagascar agate keeps high aesthetic qualities. You can tell it from other varieties by its multiple, curving bands similar to exotic woods. The red-black tones are a result of iron oxides dyeing and fire treatment.
Special conditions/ treatment: Agate is a very firm and compact stone, so there is no need for special handling.

About the product: We offer big tumbled stones in size XXL+ and Jumbo. Under size XXL+ we classify stones with weight up to 150 g, Jumbo stones are above 150 g. Both variants are available only in 5 kg package.
