Sodalite usually comes in bright to dark blue tones, but there are also blue-grey pieces with tiny white veins. Each variant shines with vitreous to greasy lustre. There are numerous deposits of sodalite in Namibia, Canada and Brazil. Our raw material is from Namibia. If we look at its chemical structure, sodalite is an aluminium silicate of sodium with chloride.
