Smoky quartz is a specific variety of quartz with admixtures of aluminium and iron. These admixtures (and sometimes also irradiation) are responsible for smoky quartz’s colour. The deposits are located in the Alps, Czechia or in the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil, which is where our stones are from. Smoky quartz has a smoky brown colour and it varies from dark, semitrasparent to translucent. Sometimes, the colour can be patchy or “cloud-like”.

Points are crystals formed by erosion and desintegration of crystal aggregates (aka druses). The minerals are rough, retaining their characteristic crystal shape.

Use: Our rough stones are a beautiful interior adornment – filling up a vase, fountain or a lamp with them creates an original design. They are also suitable for mineralogist collections and exhibitions. Rough minerals may also be further processed, e.g. small crystals are ideal material for pendants.

About the product: We sell rough minerals in one-kilogram packages, but we also offer discounted value packages of 5 kg and 25 kg in a cardboard box. XXL-JUMBO sized stones are available only in the value packages of 5 kg and 25 kg.
