Smoky quartz is a specific variety of quartz with admixtures of aluminium and iron. These admixtures (and sometimes also irradiation) are responsible for smoky quartz’s colour - it varies from dark, semitrasparent to translucent smoky brown. Sometimes, the colour can be patchy or “cloud-like”. The deposits are located in the Alps, Czechia or in the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil, which is where our specimens are from.

Druses are aggregates of crystals on the surface of a rock or mineral. Points are big long crystals formed by erosion and desintegration of druses. Product "specimen" refers to both clusters of a few big crystal points with its druse partially or fully eroded away and classic druse-like formations with or more dominant bigger points.

Use: Minerals can be charming interior decorations but also valuable pieces of your mineralogical collection.

About the product: The product is available as individual specimes (sold on weight - the price is per 1 kg) or in an advantageous 20 kg package (cardboard box, each piece is individually wrapped in paper). Common druses with numerous crystals are available only in bigger sizes - approx. from 2.5 kg. Simple clusters of a few crystal points are available also in smaller sizes. Due to the nature of the product, only pallet shipping is available.
