Sodalite usually comes in bright to dark blue tones, but there are also blue-grey pieces with tiny white veins. Each variant shines with vitreous to greasy lustre. Numerous deposits of sodalite are in Namibia, Canada and Brazil, which exports compact, large blue blocks of this mineral. The stone is popular in jewellery, but it also finds its use in exclusive tiles’ production and serves as a material for gigantic interior sculptures.

If we look at its chemical structure, sodalite is an aluminium silicate of sodium with chloride.
