Mokaite Heart 15 mm Pendant
Mookaite is a mineral shading in a series of earthy colours – from creamy, ochre and red, to purple and brown. In some mookaite, these colours blend into a colourful pattern. You can find mookaite in the western part of Australia near the Kennedy Range mountains, deposited on farmland. It has been used for commercial purposes only recently.
If we look at its chemical structure, up to 90 % of mookaite are elements of silica, which have been penetrated by sediments with unicellular organisms (Radiozoa).
