Calcite White
Calcite is a very delicate stone and one of the most common minerals on earth. Its numerous inclusions and admixtures influence calcite’s colour design. This piece is from Brazil.
White Calcite uniqueness: Transparent white calcites are noted for their striking double refraction, which occurs thanks to the single crystals. It is a very fragile and fissile stone, which requires individual, manual processing and faceting.
Special conditions/ treatment: Calcite is a carbonate, so, please do not wash it in salt solutions or other chemicals as it may damage and lose its lustre.
About the product: Stone has been smoothed out into a round flat shape. We sell smooth stones in 1 kg package; however some of them are available also in 0,5 and 0,25 kg variant.
